The Beach and The Dunes

It all starts and ends with the beach!  500 yards of private beach rights...and if you take a good look at the pictures below, you can quickly tell that it is private, quiet, peaceful, quiet, breathtaking and did we mention quiet?  Perfect for friends and family and NEVER crowded.  The perfect spot to spend the day in the sun, relax and read, or watch the sun set at dusk! We are part of a small, Timber Lane Association, so we do ask that you respect the peace and tranquility of our neighbors, some of whom have made Harbert their full time residence.    In order to maintain our little slice of heaven, we do not allow fire works on the beach or the property itself.  Jet skis or other motorized crafts cannot be launched or parked on our beach, as well.  We welcome the use of kayaks or paddle boards, so feel free to bring those along!  

If the tranquility of our private beach is not enough, the Lake Michigan Beach Barn is located minutes from the Warren Dunes at the northern end of Harbor Country, Warren Dunes State Park is ranked #1 in the State of Michigan, and offers 1,950 acres of recreation area. Dune formations rise 240 feet above the lake, excellent for excellent Hang Gliding (by permit) and parkland, with over 3 miles of Lake Michigan Beaches. The park is open year-round and available for snow boarding and cross-country skiing in the winter months. Walking pedestrian paths available,(no bikes allowed).
The park has 221 modern dune campsites, and rentable mini-cabins on the campgrounds, rental info. There are several picnic areas, a picnic shelter for rent and a great beach. A concession stand is open from Memorial Day thru Labor Day, with food, beverages and a gift shop. Please note that dogs are allowed on the beach area only at the far ends of the beach on the outsides of the buoys, and alcoholic beverages are prohibited in the park from 3/1 thru 9/30. These rules are strictly enforced.
